Help with PDF files

PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It is a universal file format that displays the fonts, images, graphics and layout of a document, regardless of the software application and platform used to create it.

It ensures that a document on screen will look exactly the same when it is printed out. Downloading a document in this way saves time, money and resources because there's no delay while you wait for the document to be posted to you, and the authors, companies or organisations don't need to print large quantities of documents.

In order to view and print a PDF document, you will need to download the free PDF viewer from the Adobe website. Most computers come with the free Adobe Reader ® software as standard.
