Whether you want to get another job, change career completely or set up your own business you'll probably find that acquiring new skills and capabilities is an essential pre-requisite. The world in which we work is changing all the time, new opportunities and challenges present themselves on a daily basis. Sites like Hot Courses are brilliant for researching a whole range of options.
- The professional and trade training courses - for those who want to retrain to become e.g. plumbers, image consultants and gas fitters.
- Business and management training course finder - there are lots of both private and public bodies who provide this at different price points and durations i.e. one day courses, summer schools, weekends and so on.
- MBA course finder - good for those with a bigger budget and the time to invest who want to update or acquire the business skills required at a higher level if you are thinking of changing from e.g. line management to a career in management consulting.
- Have got what it takes to run your own business? - check out here what types of skills you might need to be successful. You may find that you can go on free courses organised by your local enterprise agency.
- What's my learning style? Take this free test to see what kind of learning environment would suit you best. There are many courses that you can do online or perhaps as a blend of traditional classroom and practical learning experiences. If you find out how you prefer to learn you're more likely to suceed especially if you didn't enjoy school that much.
