- When it comes to knowing how to set up your own small business, having working in a big company doesn't necessarily equip you for running it successfully. If you're used to calling up the Helpdesk when your computer breaks down, getting your HR Department to sort out your payroll and people issues, and the Finance Department to keep your budgets, expenses and accounts payable in order, you may not have fully appreciated how valuable and important all those skills and resources are.
